Data Deletion Policy

This Data Deletion Policy explains how users of Re:Mind can request deletion of their personal data, including users who signed in via Facebook Login, Google Authentication, or by creating an email-based account. This policy exists to comply with Meta Platform Requirements and all applicable privacy regulations.
1. Overview
Re:Mind allows users to request deletion of their personal data at any time. This includes:
- Data provided through Facebook Login
- Data provided through Google Authentication
- Data associated with Stripe payments
- Email address and account data
- Any other personally identifiable information stored for account access or purchase fulfillment
We do not collect analytics, behavioral tracking data, or additional third‑party information beyond authentication and payment details.
2. How Users Can Request Data Deletion
You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing:
Subject Line: "Delete My Data – Re:Mind"
Your request must include:
- The email associated with your Re:Mind account
- Whether you signed in using Facebook, Google, or email/password
We will:
- Verify your identity
- Delete or anonymize your personal data
- Confirm completion within 30 days
3. Facebook Login: Data Deletion Instructions
If you signed in with Facebook, you may delete your data by:
Option A — Through Facebook
- Go to your Facebook account settings: https://www.facebook.com/settings
- Navigate to Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites
- Find Re:Mind
- Select Remove App
- Click Send Request when Facebook prompts you to request data deletion
This will send a signed request to our deletion callback endpoint.
Option B — Contacting Us Directly
Email jcpe@remind.coach with the subject: "Delete My Data – Re:Mind"
4. Data Deletion Request Callback (For Facebook)
Re:Mind implements a Data Deletion Callback URL as required by Meta. When a user sends a deletion request through Facebook:
- Facebook sends a POST request containing an app‑scoped user ID
- Re:Mind verifies and begins deletion of any data associated with that user ID
- Our system returns a JSON response containing a confirmation code and a URL where the user can view the status of their request

The status page will include:
- Verification of request receipt
- The current stage of deletion
- Final confirmation once deletion is complete
5. What Data Is Deleted
When a valid request is received, we delete:
- Facebook app‑scoped user ID
- Google user ID
- Email address
- Login credentials (if email/password account)
- Stripe‑related billing info (except what is required by law for tax and audit)
- Any stored customer support messages
- Any operational records associated with the account
We do not delete:
- Legal or financial data required to be retained under tax or accounting regulations
This remaining data is restricted, anonymized, and no longer tied to your identity.
6. How Long Deletion Takes
We complete deletion within 30 days, though most requests are completed sooner.
If additional identity verification is required, processing may take slightly longer, but we will notify you.
7. Confirmation of Deletion
Once deletion is complete, you will receive:
- A confirmation email
- A link to a human‑readable confirmation page
- A unique confirmation code for your records
